EM objects was founded in 2000 by estudioMORFO, an architcutre and interior design firm based in Paris, France and Bogota, Colombia.
In their debut furniture collection, Salento, architects Joseph McCauley and Virgilio Sierra working closely with skilled South American cabinetmakers and artisans. Each design is developed and constructed with a special attention to details and handmade finishes. The result is an extensive selection of spare and elegant furniture pieces, all constructed in Flormorado, the premier solid tropical oak . Utilizing a subdued, modern color palette and material options, the owner of each piece participates in customizing the final product (click on CUSTOMIZE to learn more). During their ten years of work throughout Colombia, estudioMorfo developed a close relationship with one of the top millworkers in the country, Improdema Ltda. Furniture making has been a family tradition for the Cruz family since 1960 and this once small enterprise has grown to encompass facilities of over 25000 square feet with an extensive exportation of their products and services to 8 other countries in the Americas. With the production for the EMobjects collection, a special workshop has been created within the factory, to exclusively develop and produce the complete selection of these unique furniture pieces. | |||||||
